Hello, I’m Bailey davies (She/Her)

I have been a registered Occupational Therapist in private practice for over 13 years and am highly experienced. My career focus has been on helping clients with “less visible” conditions. Initially, my professional interest and therapeutic focus was working alongside clients with moderate to severe brain injuries. But over the years, it became apparent to me how brain injuries impact so many other areas of people’s lives. So, in order to better support my clients, I began expanding my expertise to include mental health and chronic pain treatments. As a result, my work has broadened to include treatments and programs to support these conditions on their own. Most of my previous work has been with ICBC clients, Veterans, and long term disability clients.

Often my clients come to me with a complex set of challenges and health conditions. They seem stuck on their road to recovery. Even when these health conditions are overwhelming and causing significant difficulty, my goal is to provide direction and hope. In these cases, and with all my clients, I embrace the goals of my profession and consider the “whole person” when providing treatment. I believe that creative and individualized treatment programs are the cornerstone to finding solutions to these daily life challenges. Ultimately, I love helping clients uncover their own unique strengths and empowering them to harness these strengths to make sustainable changes in their life.

The challenges of Occupational Therapy are demanding and varied, yet I find immense joy and satisfaction as a therapist in this field of work. I would consider being an OT not just my vocation, but my calling.

I have volunteered over the years, speaking at mental health support groups and undergraduate classes. Mentorship has been an important way that I can give back to my faith community. Consequently, I have been very involved in individual mentorship and have developed mentorship programs for a sports team and youth camp. As well, I am a current Director on the board of the BC Brain Injury Association.

I reside in Quesnel, BC where my husband and I are raising two active young children.
